The Universal 81C machine provides reliable part cleaning using Dürr Ecoclean's non-chlorinated hydrocarbon cleaning process. This approach delivers the reliability of solvent-based cleaning without the environmental complications of traditional chlorinated solvent washers.

Solvent bath envelops part:
Baskets loaded with parts are fed through the machines. The baskets allow a variety of part types to be processed without retooling. The cleaning machine submerges the baskets and parts in a solvent bath. Once the parts are submerged, the cleaning media can envelop the part completely to clean outer surfaces as well as holes and cavities. During the immersion process, parts baskets are agitated within the solvent bath via internal automation. Operators select the pre-programmed movement patterns via an easy to use human-machine interface (HMI). The movement of parts within the cleaning solution dislodges debris that may not have been removed by the solvent bath alone. Vacuum drying thoroughly dries the parts following the solvent bath in the 81C standard model.

Select pre-programmed motions to dislodge debris Except for their sizes, the 80C and 81C machines are nearly identical. Both units perform washing and drying within a single chamber. The single chamber is larger on the 81C machine, allowing it to accommodate larger baskets and loads. For this reason, the 81C has a larger overall size and footprint.

The 81C also degreases parts using a built-in vapor air cleaning stage.
